Six Sigma

Six Sigma, or better to say, only 3 defects in a million opportunities. Six Sigma’s target is perfection. The approach includes improvement tools and a project management methodology as well.

We can apply its statistical tools when we are using it in a mass production or a high transaction volume environment. We can utilize Six Sigma mostly for quality and stability type of issues, but depending on the specific business goal it can be applied in combination with the lean method.

Six Sigma’s process thinking guarantees that instead of improving by particular tasks, we develop our process from end to end, let that be a financial, a manufacturing or a product development process. Our results include higher invoice-match rates (10% improvement) and a reduced ratio of customer claims (20% or more).

Similarly to the lean method, our consultant support can include trainings, workshop facilitation and project management. Our specialty field is to deploy wide scale excellence programs.

"We commissioned Concordia to develop a program that would, instead of developing general leadership skills, refresh the existing leadership skills set of our team of leaders with decades of experience, and thereby endow them with a healthier leadership approach and skills that are also well suited for managing current leadership challenges. The 18-month program was made all the more exciting by the fact that the company was transferred to new ownership before the program was completed. Building on their existing leadership experience Concordia managed to fully involve our managers in the program, and to reform the corporate leadership credo by focusing on questions and issued already brought to the surface by the changing environment.
